Who We Are
In 1978, two wild eyed and optimistic newlyweds Jeff and Nancy Doran from Oakland, California moved to the sleepy agricultural town of Napa after taking a job at a local well respected furniture store, Allen and Benedict.
Always knowing the potential growth capabilities of Downtown Napa, the Napa Outlets came to town and Jeff traded the furniture store’s long-term lease for a block of buildings on First Street, where the Andaz hotel stands today. The Napa Valley Development Corporation was formed, and the company began to grow.

A true family business, Jeff and Nancy can be seen most sunny days taking a brisk walk-through Downtown Napa and keeping tabs on all the local businesses and developments. Their children Ross and Tara help with the administrative and maintenance work for the company, and Tara’s husband Nick is a local realtor who keeps a close eye on potential opportunities around the Valley.
